The homeowner of this corner block townhouse in South Australia, needed to replace the property’s privacy wall after an unfortunate vehicle collision left them irreparably damaged. Due to the elevated land, the original 2m fence had still been unable to deliver full privacy for the family.
The homeowner wanted their new wall to deliver a complete sense of security and serenity, particularly given its position on an exposed corner block. At the same time, they wanted to avoid it looking too imposing or ‘fortress-like’.
VogueWall privacy wall to the rescue
Following their research, the homeowner decided that VogueWall was the best option for their needs. A key factor behind this decision was the ability of the VogueWall to incorporate additional decorative features. They added wooden slats to the top of the privacy wall; this increased privacy by extending its height to 2.4 metres, whilst still softening the overall appearance. Its noise reduction benefits were also an attractive feature, proving highly effective in reducing traffic noise within their home.
The wall was also rendered and painted by the installers, resulting in a far more superior aesthetic appearance, compared to the original fence. The rough, textured finish gave the wall that extra sense of solidity, while complementing the house’s finish.
ModularWalls’ privacy fence and wall solutions offer heights up to 3m and deliver an average noise reduction of 25dB.
