How Your Pack Will Arrive

How Your Residential Pack Will Arrive

Considerations and preparation for your ModularWalls pack arrival

When your order is dispatched, you will receive a transport docket or consignment note. Please read and check the transport note has the correct delivery information and any special instructions for your delivery. If any information is incorrect, please contact ModularWalls at 1300 556 957.

Home delivery

  • Please let ModularWalls know any specific details about your street address. For example, do you live on a narrow street? Is it a one-way street, are there low powerlines or trees etc.?
  • Before your ModularWalls pack arrives, identify a clear area near where the delivery truck will park for unloading.
  • The exterior shrink wrap will require cutting with a utility knife to access the individual components.
  • Your delivery will include steel or aluminium posts and/or accessories and composite panels. Do not place the panels directly on an uneven surface, as this may cause the panels to deform. Tip: Use the polystyrene packing to create an even base to place the panels.
  • Take the time necessary when unloading the panels, as the edges can be damaged if the proper care is not taken. Stack the panels neatly and squarely, as corners that are left sticking out may also be vulnerable to damage.
  • Any damage to your ModularWalls that is evident from transport must be marked on the transport docket and signed by the driver before giving the docket to you. Please take photos of the damage and send/email them to info@modularwalls.com.au on the day of delivery.

Hand unload

  • If your ModularWalls order is delivered via hand unload, depending on the size of your order, you will require at least two capable people to unload. The driver cannot assist with unloading.
  • Take care when unloading the steel/aluminium components, as additional parts are often packed inside others.

Hiab delivery

  • The truck requires a clear, level surface to unload. Allow three car spaces for the truck to pull up and unload safely, ensuring the outriggers won’t obstruct traffic.
  • Please identify one or two locations where you would like your pack placed before delivery. Feel free to call us to help determine the amount of space required for unloading.
  • Take note that Hiab/crane trucks do have limitations, including:
    • The distance they can reach is eight metres and decreases with weight.
    • Clearance from powerlines.
    • They are unable to unload/lower over fences.
  • We will always endeavour to meet your requirements; however, safety and the driver’s judgment are the priority.
  • The driver has the right to refuse to deliver/unload if they determine the location is unsafe.

Collection from a local depot/warehouse

  • Upon request, ModularWalls can provide the pack’s dimensions to ensure your vehicle or trailer is suitable to transport your order from the depot to your installation address.
  • Before collecting your ModularWalls pack, clear a level area close to the installation site to unload the wall components.
  • You will receive a phone call from the transport company when your ModularWalls order is ready for collection. Please check the depot operating times, as these may vary depending on the company and the location.
  • Please take care when strapping or tying down your pack for transport. Do not strap down too tightly and use corners under all ropes or straps to prevent damaging your ModularWalls.
  • Take the time necessary when unloading the panels, as the edges can be damaged if proper care is not taken. Stack the panels neatly and squarely, as corners that are left sticking out may be vulnerable to damage.
