Firstly, if you are installing ModularWalls on a sloping block, you need to decide the style of sloping fence you prefer. There are three methods to install your fence on a sloping block:
Method 1:
Stepping the bottom of your panels and maintaining a minimum 1800mm wall height at one end and a taller wall height at the low end of the slope. Therefore, leaving a gap under one end of your wall panels.
Method 2:
Raking/cutting the base panel and maintaining a maximum 1800mm wall height. This method ensures no gap under your wall panels but will reduce your wall height at one end.
Method 3:
Raking/cutting the base and maintaining a minimum 1800mm wall height at one end and a taller wall height at the low end of the slope. The result of this method is no gap left under your wall panels and an increase in wall height at the lower end of the slope above 1800mm. Therefore, a longer base panel is required and needs consideration when placing your order.

As mentioned, every DIY project is unique. And your purpose for installing a modular wall can vary from needing a privacy screen to a new boundary fence, to name a few. However, it’s critical to factor in painting and sealing your entire wall system within 30 days of installation, especially if you lose access to one side of the fence after installation. For example, suppose you install a SlimWall fence in front of an existing wooden fence. In that case, once the SlimWall is in place, you won’t have access to paint and seal one side of the Modular Wall.
