Michelle’s top priority for the project was to craft a safe, secure, and private front yard space for her corner block. “I am a corner block, it is on the street side. And as I am in a hilly area, you used to be able to see me at my kitchen window if you were walking down the hill on the opposite side of the road. Now, privacy is much better.”
Overcoming a sloping site and uneven ground

Fortunately, Michelle did not require council approval for the new fence design, which had been strategically placed on her property line to avoid complications with a neighbour. This made for a straightforward installation. Michelle’s tips?
“If you do need help, e.g. height, regulations, check with your local Council to see that you have covered everything before you start. This can be a problem. It puts you behind the eight ball if you haven’t pre-researched the requirements for what you want.”
