A childcare centre in Hopper’s Crossing, Victoria, required an acoustic solution to shield their residential neighbours from the noise of the playground activities. The client wanted to embrace a fun and vibrant aesthetic to enhance the children’s play space. Additionally, sections of the wall also needing to incorporate retaining functions. ModularWalls’ SlimWall solution ticked all the boxes.
ModularWalls, a modular fence manufacturer, utilised a combination of their TrendWall Aluminium and SlimWall Classic systems to provide their client an integrated fencing solution in one seamless design. The 2.1m high SlimWall incorporated 500mm of retaining features, while the 2.4m high TrendWall provided a sleek, effective acoustic barrier around the entire boundary to shield noise from the childcare centre for the neighbouring residents.
The wall was then finished in bright, engaging colours to enhance the children’s’ learning environment. This meant that the childcare centre clearly met the guidelines contained in National Quality Standards for early education facilities.
