A childcare centre built in a supermarket car park by a busy road in Bendigo, VIC, required a rapid install acoustic wall to protect neighbouring residents from playground noise and the children from traffic noise.
As mentioned, the centre was built in a supermarket car park, between residential areas and a busy road. So, an acoustic wall was required to keep playground noise in and traffic noise out. With children’s safety as a top priority, a timber fence was not viable due to splintering and cracking. Additionally, the fence solution needed to complement their landscaping with premium aesthetics to reflect the centre’s modern architecture.

ModularWalls provided a turnkey solution; in less than a week. The result is a supply and installation of a 2.1m high TrendWall perimeter acoustic wall. As TrendWall utilises aluminium posts, the fence uses smaller footings, delivering a faster and more cost-effective install.
ModularWalls completed the installation in four days, including the customised aesthetic finish. The installation crew painted the wall in the same shade as the centre, with blocks of colours to create a harmonised architectural style.
