The new Head Office and Manufacturing Plant of ModularWalls was proudly unveiled at the stunning Launch Event on 9th March, 2018. The company transformed their factory floor with lush foliage for the afternoon, with almost 200 guests celebrating this pivotal step in the company’s growth. Supporters and product believers, commercial clients and loyal Trade Partners, business associates and proud colleagues joined as one to toast the next stage of ModularWalls.

Olympic swimming silver medalist and TV personality, Elka Whalan, M.C.ed the event, with Local Federal Member and Federal Treasurer,  Hon. Scott Morrison MP leading the official Opening Ceremony. A surprise aerial acrobatic performance by the mesmerising Natasha Usmar captivated guests during the formal speeches, with other notable VIP guests including Attorney General and Local State Member, Mark Speakman, and Mayor of Sutherland Shire Council, Carmelo Pesce.

Nick Holden, Founder & CEO of ModularWalls, also used this opportunity to express his deep gratitude of every person that had contributed to the growth and success of what had started out as a ‘one-man band’. The passion and excitement behind his life’s work shone from every word; the cheek-splitting grin and twinkle in his eye inspiring a crowd of cheek-split, twinkle-eyed spectators, hanging on to each heartfelt word.

The history of ModularWalls

Innovative product design, sophisticated engineering and highly scalable manufacturing capabilities; ModularWalls is a Sutherland Shire business demonstrating that Australian manufacturing can not only survive, but thrive.

Founded in 2002 following a successful debut on the ABC’s New Inventor’s program by Nick Holden, ModularWalls was born. Since then, it has grown rapidly into an Aussie manufacturing success story. Further building on the success of the residential DIY modular wall, the company invented a suite of new commercial products; notable successes, including EnduroMax noise barrier panels and AcoustiSorb noise absorption panels, have even begun revolutionising the Australian infrastructure industry.

Using a combination of local invention, local engineering, local workforce and locally sourced materials, the business has accelerated its rapid national expansion, with emerging exports to NZ, US and UK. The business also continues to invest heavily in Research & Development, including significant investment in automation and technology.

Today, ModularWalls continues to expand its workforce. Growing from 28 people to over 50 during the past 3 years, their network of 1500+ contractors and Trade Partners also service ModularWalls customers throughout Australia. From its humble beginnings in a small factory in Taren Point, ModularWalls has now officially launched their new ‘state of the art’ manufacturing plant on a 5,000 SQM site in Kurnell, ready for its next stage of expansion.

The numbers are in; the cards never lie. The future is Modular.
