EnduroMax® delivers QLD MRTS15 noise wall in cyclonic wind region

- Noise wall required to shield new community development from Townsville Ring Road
- Compliance with QLD Main Road Specification MRTS15 essential
- Challenging environmental conditions of Cyclonic Wind Region C, including flood zones and undulating land
Kalynda Chase is an Urbex community development in Bohle Plains, representative of Townsville’s growing population. To protect residents from Townsville Ring Road, they required a QLD MRTS15 compliant noise wall that performed acoustically. Additionally, the solution had to overcome the environmental conditions of high winds and floods.
Custom engineered EnduroMax solution the clear choice
Considering its pre-approval by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, EnduroMax was the clear choice. The custom engineered solution overcame the multitude of environmental challenges; the end result reached a height of 4.9m and spanning over 700m of undulating, flood-prone land in Wind Region C. Fitted within our GuardianWall noise wall system, the solution also offered industrial-grade durability and +50 year design life, ensuring long-term project performance.
Offering boutique, stylish living, with beautifully landscaped parks and playgrounds, the solution needed to reflect the development’s aesthetic values. The smooth, modern finish of the EnduroMax panels offered an elegant aesthetic to the barrier, painted in a fresh, bright white.
As ModularWalls’ ultra-high impact resistant, high-performance modular noise wall panel, EnduroMax approaches concrete in terms of durability. However, it is far cheaper and easier to install, due to its low weight and modular structure.
We inspire through invention and innovation, designing solutions for even the most challenging brief, in some of the harshest regions Australia has to offer. From initial concept drawings and engineering, right through to installation support, we offer turnkey service that exceeds expectations.
